Principal Account Executive, Enterprise vLex, AM Law 150

Position Overview This is an Enterprise Account Executive role focused on selling Clio’s AI and legal technology solutions to leading law firms and corporate legal departments. You will drive full sales cycles, lead product demos, build strategic relationships, and help shape company messaging. Responsibilities Own a named account list and drive the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to contract close. Lead product demos and executive meetings that connect legal pain points to clear business outcomes. Build strong, lasting relationships with legal buyers—from innovation leads to practice heads to C‑suite decision makers. Work cross‑functionally with product, customer success, and marketing to shape messaging and support success. Help evolve the sales playbook by capturing learnings and identifying scalable strategies. Represent Clio at industry events and conferences, building thought leadership and visibility across the market. Bring client feedback directly to the product team to help guide roadmap priorities. Qualifications Proven track record of exceeding quota in B2B SaaS sales, ideally in legaltech. Strong consultative selling skills: ask smart questions, read the room, and translate product features into customer impact. Experience running complex, multi‑threaded deals with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels. High proficiency with CRM tools and sales metrics. Willingness to travel to client meetings and events as needed. Strong business acumen and ability to align sales motions with company strategy. Excellent problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills. Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Highly organized with strong project management skills. Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Minimum 6–10 years of experience. Deep understanding of the legal market and ability to engage senior partners, general counsel, and C‑level executives. Track record of selling into AmLaw 150 firms and closing large, multi‑stakeholder deals. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $136,000–$204,000 USD (dependent on location, experience, and skillset).
