Description Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Admin at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA. This position is part-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS) Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. Upon hire: California Pharmacy Technician License. Minimum of one year (>2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - or 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy in not PTCB certified. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians). Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR). Why Join Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
