Job Description Job Description Diesel Mechanic Full-Time Position Overview: Express Employment is partnering with a local Reynolds ND company who is seeking a reliable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing farm equipment and diesel-powered vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair diesel engines, tractors, trucks, trailers, and other farm equipment Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, brake work, and preventative inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Maintain accurate service and repair records Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards Maintain a clean and organized shop area Follow all safety policies and procedures Qualifications: Previous experience as a diesel mechanic (agricultural equipment experience preferred) Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment Welding experience is a plus Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus) Skills & Abilities: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills Strong attention to detail Work Environment: Shop and outdoor work environment Seasonal demands may require extended hours during planting and harvest
