Talent Acquisition Consultant – Health & Benefits Sales Recruiting

Location: U.S. locations within Central or Eastern time zones, within commuting distance of a local office
Work Arrangement: Hybrid—three days onsite per week. Remote consideration may be available for an exceptionally qualified candidate, subject to approval.
Employment Type: 12-month contract
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with an 8:30 or 9:00 AM start
Target Start: November 2026

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced recruiter who knows how to find hard-to-reach talent, build relationships with senior leaders, and keep challenging searches moving. This role supports a national Health & Benefits consulting business, with a primary focus on recruiting experienced sales professionals who sell consulting services to business clients.

You'll own the full recruiting process, advise hiring managers, and develop sourcing strategies for specialized positions. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys proactive recruiting, understands how to engage passive candidates, and can confidently guide conversations through the offer stage.

The incoming consultant will receive transition training and introductions to business leaders. Candidates with strong professional services recruiting experience may receive additional training on the Health & Benefits business.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-cycle recruiting, from intake meetings and sourcing through candidate assessment, offer negotiation, and closing.
• Partner directly with senior leaders, hiring managers, and HR to understand business priorities and define hiring strategies.
• Recruit sales professionals and consultants within the Health & Benefits business.
• Manage approximately 25–35 open requisitions while adapting to changing priorities and fast-moving hiring decisions.
• Build targeted pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, the internal CRM, referrals, networking, and direct outreach.
• Partner with a sourcing specialist while continuing to source and engage candidates independently.
• Explain specialized opportunities and compensation structures clearly and persuasively.
• Advise hiring managers on candidate selection, interview practices, market conditions, and offer strategy.
• Set realistic expectations and respectfully challenge hiring assumptions when needed.
• Maintain candidate engagement through consistent communication and timely follow-up.
• Keep recruiting records accurate and use recruitment technology, including AI-enabled tools, to improve efficiency.

What You'll Bring

• Ideally, seven or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience. Candidates with at least five years of highly relevant experience may also be considered.
• Agency recruiting experience combined with experience supporting professional services organizations.
• Demonstrated success recruiting sales professionals, particularly those selling B2B or consulting services.
• Strong sourcing skills and a record of filling specialized, difficult-to-fill positions.
• Experience partnering directly with senior executives and influencing hiring decisions.
• Ability to assess candidates, communicate the value of an opportunity, negotiate offers, and close hires.
• Strong business judgment and the confidence to navigate challenging stakeholder conversations professionally.
• Ability to manage competing searches, changing requirements, and urgent hiring needs.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, and CRM tools.
• Knowledge of recruiting best practices and applicable employment requirements.

Experience That Stands Out

• Recruiting within Health & Benefits consulting, employee benefits, insurance brokerage, or insurance carriers.
• Familiarity with the talent market for benefits consultants and sales professionals.
• A background in agency business development or sales.
• Experience explaining complex compensation models and engaging candidates who are not actively looking.

Interview Process

Up to three virtual interviews with Talent Acquisition leadership and team members.
