Full Time Dining Room Supervisor-Assisted Living

Summary Of Position The Dining Room Supervisor plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure a quality dining experience by greeting and seating residents and guests, overseeing dining room staff and maintaining a pleasant and clean dining environment. Shift Days and Evenings, flexible to variable shifts. 11:00am-7:30pm Wage $18.50-$22 Hourly, based on experience Essential Job Functions Responsible for the daily operations of the dining room. Ensures smooth and timely opening of the dining room, including the facilitation of the pre-meal meeting. Coordinates staffing schedules to ensure staffing requirements are met on a daily basis. Assign staff to designated sections and appropriate side work. Inspects cleaning and closing of the dining room. Provides supervision for special functions. Greet and seat residents and guests. Ensures consistently high-quality customer service in the dining room. Ensures appropriate check control and resident charge procedures. Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Knowledge And Critical Skills Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions. Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public. Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility. Communicate in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, team members, residents, and families. Education And Experience Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position. High school diploma or equivalent. Some supervisory experience in food service preferred. Supervisory Responsibility This position may have direct reports or supervisory requirements. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Tasks assigned to this position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals. Physical Requirements Must be able to frequently lift/carry 30 lbs. and occasionally lift/carry 50 lbs. at times Must be able to frequently push/pull up to 30 lbs. and occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs.
