We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. With recent staffing changes and upcoming retirements, this is a great opportunity for someone with CNC experience or someone eager to learn from seasoned professionals. You will be responsible for maintaining our state-of-the-art equipment and ensuring optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect newly acquired equipment to ensure they meet industry standards before use.

• Read work orders to confirm tasks are within equipment capacity and provide alternatives for larger tasks.

• Strictly adhere to safety regulations to prevent mechanical hazards.

• Teach workers proper equipment operation to avoid accidents.

• Enroll in continuous training to stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques.

• Supervise the purchase of new equipment, testing for durability and exchanging low-performing machines.

• Perform routine servicing to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities to track equipment lifespan.

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement solutions.

• Communicate with management or clients about equipment faults and maintenance strategies.

• Prioritize daily work orders by importance.

• Handle other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes, including ball screw joints, gears, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• 4+ years of experience with CNC machinery in an industrial setting.

• Proficiency in preventative maintenance including filter, fluid, and oil changes.

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills using a voltmeter (24V, 110V, 240V).

• Familiarity with CNC machines: mills, lathes, gear cuts.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good communication skills and knowledge of safety precautions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with controls troubleshooting (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.).

• Facilities background including drywall, plumbing, and painting.

• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions.

• Understanding of electrical prints.

• Discipline to execute tasks promptly.

• Good time management skills.

• Proficient in handling basic tools.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, bright, and spacious facility with full climate control. Enjoy one of the nicest shops around. The position is for the 1st Shift, running from 6AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, with optional Saturday and Sunday shifts. Overtime pay is provided at 1.5x after 8 hours, Saturdays, and 2x on Sundays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
