Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - Contract to hire

Job Description

Responsibilities

Perform repair and maintenance on plant equipment, machinery, and building systems
Troubleshoot and repair presses, conveyors, CNC equipment, assembly machinery, and automated systems
Support production and maintenance team goals across multiple departments
Assist with equipment set-ups and continuous improvement initiatives
Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices
Complete preventive maintenance tasks, corrective repairs, and equipment improvements
Accurately complete maintenance documentation, downtime tracking, and work orders
Operate forklifts and aerial lifts as needed
Participate in lean manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives
Support overall plant operations and additional maintenance projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
Experience with MIG and/or arc welding and cutting torches
Experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of manufacturing quality and environmental standards preferred
Some PLC troubleshooting experience preferred

Education

High School Diploma or GED required
Technical or vocational training preferred

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of industrial or plant maintenance experience preferred
