This role consists of ensuring our equipment is up and running safely and smoothly. This means performing regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of construction equipment and delivery vehicle fleet in the branch location. You’ll also troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, ignition, and pneumatic systems, diagnose diesel and gas engines, and perform maintenance on drive trains. You may also occasionally deliver equipment or parts to other technicians. Have you got what it takes? Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis. 3-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with a construction equipment background. Must have the tools you need to do the job; your hands will only get your so far. Experience with performing diagnostics and repairs, not just preventative maintenance. Experience using diagnostic software and tools. High quality control. Respect your work and make it known.
