Registered Nurse (RN) ER DayShift WESTLAKE LOCATION Wellington Regional Medical Center is located in Wellington, FL. It is a 235‑bed acute care hospital owned by Universal Health Services. Job Responsibilities Assume shift responsibility and accountability for planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, and care partners. Coordinate multidisciplinary team members and facilitate nursing staff to achieve safe, optimal health‑care outcomes. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, upholding the concepts of Patient‑Centred Care. Recognize stroke signs, initiate stroke alerts, and perform NIHSS and bedside swallow assessments. Assist the ED physician with patient evaluation, support ICU nursing for thrombolytic therapy and endovascular treatment preparation. Maintain currency in stroke knowledge through NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke‑related training annually. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program; BSN preferred. Minimum of 2 years of emergency‑room experience; 1–3 years of supervisory experience preferred. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification current upon hire. TNCC certification within 6 months of hire. Current Florida nursing license. Successful completion of pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
