Electronics TechnicianSummary: ConMet - Canton, NC location is looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to perform calibration, troubleshooting, monitoring, analysis, maintenance and repair of a variety of electric and electronic control equipment to achieve better system effectiveness and efficiency. Shift: Second Shift, Monday - FridayWhat You Will Do:Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair breakdowns or malfunctions of electrical equipmentPerform root cause problem identification and implement self-initiated activities to improve process reliability and cycle timesInterpret electrical schematicsTroubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic components, including solid sensors (photo eyes, prox. switches), variable frequency drives, PLCs, motors and motor controllers, servo motion controllersProgram and troubleshoot Fanuc robots; perform minor touchups on robotic programsCall equipment and/or parts vendors for support in troubleshooting problems and/or optimizing equipmentWhat You Need to Be Successful:High school diploma plus 2 years college and/or trade schoolMinimum 4 years of related job experience, with emphasis on equipment maintenance and repairWork requires a working knowledge of control system normally acquired through six (6) years of experience in the installation, inspection, testing and repair of pneumatic, electrical and electronic control systems, or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and educationAbout ConMet:ConMet, a division of Amsted Industries, is a leading global supplier of wheel hubs, structural castings, and structural plastics to original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket channels in the commercial vehicle industry.
