About the Role:

The Procurement Specialist & Operation Support plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless acquisition of goods and services essential for manufacturing operations within the company. The Procurement & Operations Support Specialist is responsible for managing purchasing activities, inventory control, vendor coordination, and operational support. This role ensures timely procurement of goods and services, maintains accurate records, and supports cost-effective sourcing strategies. The position also provides administrative and reporting support to the Operations Manager and collaborates across departments to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in the food industry preferred.
• Advanced computer skills required, including proficiency in MS Office.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract management to secure materials and services at competitive prices.
• Collaborate with production, inventory, and logistics teams to forecast demand and ensure alignment of procurement activities with manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery performance, and compliance with company standards.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Support operational teams by providing timely procurement data, resolving supply issues, and assisting in inventory control and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
• Prepare reports and analysis on procurement activities, market trends, and supplier performance to inform strategic decision-making.
