Natural Way Chiropractic – Bellingham, WA
Full-Time | In-Person | Starting at $20.00/hour

Natural Way Chiropractic is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated Billing & Insurance Specialist to join our Bellingham team.

Our Bellingham billing office supports all Natural Way Chiropractic locations , so this position plays an important role in helping our offices across the organization stay on top of insurance, legal, and billing-related follow-up. We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable problem-solving, able to stay on top of follow-up, and takes pride in completing work accurately. Our billing department is a quiet, focused work environment where team members spend much of their day independently working accounts, researching claims, making follow-up calls, and completing detailed administrative tasks. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys a calm, structured workspace and is comfortable working independently for extended periods of time . If you thrive in a highly social, constantly interactive work environment, this position may not be the best fit.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work insurance aging reports for Natural Way Chiropractic offices and follow up on outstanding claims and balances
• Research and resolve insurance denials, claim issues, and payment discrepancies
• Contact insurance companies regarding claim status and outstanding issues
• Communicate with attorney offices to obtain updates and case statuses
• Assist Natural Way Chiropractic locations with billing and insurance-related questions and follow-up
• Document billing, insurance, and attorney communications accurately
• Post and process incoming insurance payments as needed
• Assist with additional billing and administrative responsibilities
• Cross-train at the front desk and provide coverage when needed
• Answer phones and provide excellent customer service to patients and outside offices

Previous medical billing or insurance experience is helpful, but medical coding experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person.
