Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a well-established, growth-oriented organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to serve as the senior financial executive for the business. This hybrid role goes beyond traditional accounting and offers the opportunity to partner directly with executive leadership to improve financial performance, strengthen operational decision-making, enhance cash flow management, and drive long-term business value. • Serve as the senior finance leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership
• Translate financial data into actionable insights that improve profitability, cash generation, and overall business performance
• Lead all accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, treasury, audit coordination, tax support, and internal controls
• Oversee cash management and liquidity planning, including ownership of rolling cash flow forecasts
• Develop visibility into product, customer, and operational profitability to support strategic decision-making
• Lead the annual budgeting process and implement disciplined forecasting practices
• Partner closely with sales, operations, production, procurement, logistics, and leadership teams to improve financial outcomes
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, automation, and financial transparency
• Support capital investment decisions and other key business initiatives

Skills

• 7+ years of experience in an accounting leadership role with strong experience managing the financial close process
• Strong background in accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, and financial analysis
• Experience with working capital management, cash flow forecasting, reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting, and audit support
• Experience leveraging technology and automation to improve financial reporting and business insights
• Demonstrated success improving financial processes, reporting quality, and operational controls
• Ability to operate as the senior finance leader within an organization and collaborate effectively across multiple departments
• CPA preferred, not required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
