Pineville,LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Controller responsible for all day-to-day accounting and financial operations within a growing manufacturing environment. This role will oversee job costing, billing, payables, payroll, inventory, daily cash reconciliation, and monthly close activities. The Controller will partner closely with ownership and operations teams, leveraging ERP systems to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and data-driven decisions that improve profitability and cash flow. EssentialDuties Ownthegeneralledgerandmanagealldailyaccountingoperationsincludingaccountsreceivable,accountspayable,payroll,bankreconciliations,creditcards,andfixedassets Performdailycashreconciliationbycomparinginternalrecords,ERPcashreceipts,andbankactivityincludingACH,wiretransfers,checks,andcardbatches;investigateandresolvediscrepanciespromptly Preparetimelyandaccuratemonthlyfinancialstatementsincludingprofitandlossstatements,balancesheets,cashflowreports,andmanagementreporting Maintainandcontinuouslyimprovejob-costingstructuresformanufacturingandfabricationoperations,includingtrackinglabor,material,outsideprocessing,andoverheadcosts Analyzejobprofitability,machineutilization,andmarginsbycustomer,product,andprocess;developreportsanddashboardsandprovidevarianceanalysiswithrecommendations Develop,document,andenforceaccountingpolicies,procedures,andinternalcontrolssuitableforagrowingmanufacturingoperation Overseecustomerbilling,progressbillings,collections,andagedreceivableswhiledrivingeffectivecashcollectionpractices Managevendorpayables,paymentterms,andpaymentrunstooptimizecashflowandmaintainstrongsupplierrelationships Coordinateandexecutemonthly,quarterly,andyear-endcloseprocessesincludingjournalentries,accruals,andreconciliations Leadannualbudgetingandforecastingactivitiesincludingrevenue,labor,consumables,maintenance,andcapitalexpenditures Monitoractualresultsversusbudgetandpreparedetailedvarianceanalyseswithcommentaryandrecommendations Maintaininventoryaccountingforrawmaterials,work-in-progress,finishedgoods,andconsumables,includingcoordinationofcyclecountsandphysicalinventories Ensurecompliancewithfederal,state,andlocaltaxandregulatoryrequirementsandcoordinatewithexternalCPAfirmsregardingincometax,sales/usetax,andpropertytaxfilings Preparefinancialinformationandsupportingdocumentationforexternalaccountants,lenders,andauditorsasneeded Evaluateandimproveaccounting,reporting,andERPintegrationstoreducemanualworkandimproveoperationalaccuracy Providefinancialanalysistosupportequipmentpurchases,automationinitiatives,andcapitalinvestmentdecisions Build,train,andleadasmallaccountingandadministrativeteamascompanygrowthcontinues Requirements/Skills Strongunderstandingofgeneralledgeraccountingandday-to-dayfinancialoperations Experiencemanagingaccountspayable,accountsreceivable,payroll,reconciliations,andmonthlycloseprocesses Knowledgeofjobcostingwithinamanufacturingorfabricationenvironment Experienceanalyzingprofitability,margins,utilization,andoperationalfinancialperformance Abilitytoprepareaccuratefinancialstatements,cashflowreporting,andvarianceanalyses Experiencewithbudgeting,forecasting,andinventoryaccountingpractices Knowledgeofinternalcontrols,accountingprocedures,andfinancialcompliancerequirements Experiencecoordinatingwithexternalaccountants,auditors,lenders,andtaxprofessionals Stronganalytical,organizational,andproblem-solvingskills ProficiencywithERPsystems,accountingsoftware,andMicrosoftExcel Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithownership,leadership,andoperationsteams Abilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesinafast-pacedenvironment Leadershipskillswiththeabilitytobuild,train,andsupportagrowingteam PhysicalRequirements Prolongedperiodsofsittingandworkingatacomputer Abilitytooccasionallyliftand/ormoveupto15pounds Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelyinbothwrittenandverbalformats Mayrequireoccasionalwalkingthroughmanufacturingorproductionenvironments EqualOpportunityStatement Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
