Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized peri-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. This position demands a high level of clinical expertise in airway management, sedation, and post-operative monitoring within a high acuity hospital or intensive care setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role is based in San Francisco, CA, and involves working four 10-hour days per week, starting at 10:00 AM.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4 x 10 days, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active California RN licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS certifications, and at least 2 years of PACU RN experience; experience in a high acuity hospital or ICU preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical records and trauma level I or II familiarity is a plus.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other campuses if needed and census permits.
• Additional Information: The position involves delivering clinical care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients, with a daily census of approximately 40-50 patients, staffing 32 rooms. Candidate must ensure compliance with vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
• Certifications: Upload valid certifications with expiration dates.
• References: Two references obtained within the last year are required.
• Onboarding & Compliance: Complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing. Provide accurate work history for 7 years. Documents are due 10 days prior to start.
• Holidays: Coverage allowed on designated holidays; maximum RTO is 7 days per contract.
• Experience: At least 2 years of PACU RN experience required.
