The Americas Institutional Businesses (AIB) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with sophisticated institutional investors. Across the US, Canada and LatAm, AIB is focused on helping asset managers, pensions, universities, non-profits, family offices, healthcare systems and other institutional investors meet their financial goals and serve their constituents and communities. We are comprised of teams of professionals with expertise spanning many functions working together to meet the unique needs of our clients including relationship management, marketing, sales, client service, and product development and management. Professionals within AIB work together to deliver a full range of asset management, risk management and advisory services supporting our clients' investment objectives.

This AIB Relationship Manager will develop and cultivate relationships with existing clients and prospects in the target market of Asset Manager and Family Capital. They will market a full range of investment options including ETFs, traditional long-only strategies, alternatives, and multi-asset solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage key client relationships and drive engagement with CIOs, Portfolio Managers and traders to identify and pursue new potential business and retain existing business.
• Work alongside Senior Relationship Managers on all on-going business development, client service and communication with clients and prospects.
• Develop asset class fluency across BlackRock's product range - including iShares ETFs, fixed income, equity, hedge funds, real assets, private equity and private credit. This RM will also act as iShares ETF specialist for Family Capital Channel.
• Lead strategic client targeting and design well-planned and engaging client meetings that uncover Client needs and interests, and best deliver BLK product fit.
• Drive new revenue and opportunities across products and client types.
• Prospect and initiate brand building and sales activity with investors not currently engaged in discussions with iShares or BLK product. Develop and execute strategy to uncover and develop mandates that will have the most commercial impact.
• Use BlackRock's proprietary systems to gather security, capital market and economic data to create a range of presentation materials such as account reviews, Board presentations and marketing materials.
• Gather critical data to quickly respond orally and in writing to client information requests.
• Write and publish client meeting summary notes posted to firm wide client relationship management systems.
• Assist and lead client on-boarding events with operations teams, including account documentation updates and portfolio guideline changes. Provide strong client service throughout onboarding with BlackRock.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong intellectual ability and interpersonal skills to establish credibility with the institutional investor community and senior leaders throughout the Firm.
• Collaborative and cooperative approach to a team-based sales model.
• Strong communication skills - ability to articulate complicated concepts and systems concisely.
• Candidate should be highly organized, ideally with experience with proactive client outreach and leading client meetings and engagements.
• 6-8+ years of financial industry experience. Some experience in institutional relationship management and fundraising preferred.
• Prior knowledge of US Asset Manager Industry and investment knowledge a plus. Deep understanding of ETFs and Mutual Funds needed. Required knowledge and experience in public markets assets and across a wide range of investment vehicles a plus.
• Prior experience in investing, portfolio management, research role a plus. Prior experience in ETF sales a plus.
• BA/BS in any field, preferably in Finance, Economics and Business CFA or MBA designations a positive.
• Role will require candidates to obtain regulatory licenses Series 7 and 63.
• Preferred candidate has CFA or CAIA or has goal to pursue CFA or CAIA designation, if not currently holding, within 12-24 months of employment.
• Available for potential overnight travel up to 50% of the time.
• Bloomberg, Excel, and technical proficiency with Python or other programming ability a plus, not required.

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$110,000.00 - USD$150,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
