Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Empower students with visual impairments in a supportive, school-based setting, providing specialized instruction and guidance where it matters most. This contract opportunity is available near Cleveland and Habersham, GA, with flexibility for part-time work from July 31, 2026, through June 3, 2027. Educators passionate about student success are invited to make a significant difference by participating in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and delivering instruction in braille and expanded core curriculum. Support may also extend to Medicaid billing processes, where applicable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, valid Georgia Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) licensure/certification
• Active Georgia Educator Certificate
• Experience working in K-12 settings with visually impaired students
• Knowledge of and experience providing Braille instruction and expanded core curriculum
• Participation in IEP meetings and proficiency with progress monitoring
• Reliable transportation for in-person service delivery (preferred)
• Open to both in-person and virtual (VOCO) candidates

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional services and adaptations for visually impaired students
• Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies to meet IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student learning
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide ongoing progress updates
• Offer Braille instruction and support the expanded core curriculum as needed
• Assist with Medicaid billing services when required

This contract role offers flexible scheduling—approximately 20 hours per week for those able to provide Braille instruction, or 7–8 hours weekly otherwise. The format for interviews is virtual, allowing for convenient candidate participation.
