SPECIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS ARE HIRED ON A YEAR ONLY CONTRACT - CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR WILL BE DONE IN THE SPRING AND CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT IS BASED ON DEPARTMENT NEEDS AND BOARD OF EDUCATION APPROVAL
THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A ONE TIME SIGNING BONUS* OF $2,500 PAYABLE ON JUNE 15, 2027 AND
A RETENTION BONUS OF $2,500 AFTER THREE YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT PAYABLE ON JUNE 15, 2030

Salary:
The minimum starting pay is $72,516*/year and the maximum salary is $92,100*/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education, licensure, and years of relevant experience (maximum credit granted is 20 years). *Salary is prorated based on start date.

ABOUT THE POSITION

School District 49 is actively seeking a School Psychologist for the PEAK Programs at the Student Success Center. Come join our fun, energetic, and dynamic team at PEAK! The Personal Excellence Academic Knowledge (PEAK) school psychologist will work in a strong and collaborative team environment in partnership with other PEAK para educators, special education teachers, and intenerates in a center-based environment. Students served through PEAK programming benefit from affective needs instruction, trauma responsive care, social communications activities, restorative practices, and behavioral dysregulation interventions. The PEAK school psychologist will support a range of social, emotional, and behavioral interventions and strategies designed to support students with serious emotional disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and/or low-cognition, but may present with other educational disability areas. The school psychologist will work with students with delays that are significantly affecting social, verbal, and/or non-verbal communication interactions, in combination with challenging behaviors.

Qualifications and Expectations:

1. Ph.D. or Ed.S. in school psychology plus additional coursework required for certification or licensure
2. Valid Colorado Special Services Provider License endorsed in area of assignment: School Psychologist
