1. Advanced Degree in School Psychology and completion of internship ( Ed.S from NASP approved program preferred ). This requirement waived for internship applicants. 2. Active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with an endorsement as a School Psychologist.
3. Three years of experience in a school setting preferred.

Job Summary:
School Psychologists are leaders of the building based special education team. They provide comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and mental health services to students attending PPBOCES member and/or associate member schools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operate within the professional and ethical guidelines of NASP and other professional organizations.
2.Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to choose, administer, and interpret and write evaluation reports.
3. Provide appropriate feedback to special education team regarding the results and analysis of psycho educational assessment tools.
4. Analyze and use results from multiple sources or assessments in decision making regarding students in the Special Education referral process. This includes the ability to interpret data with goal of determining whether students meet criteria for special education based on the Colorado's Exceptional Children's Educational Act (ECEA).
5. Analyze and provide feedback regarding progress-monitoring data collected during the MTSS process including the ability to calculate a student's gap from peers as well as rate of growth within an intervention.
6. Utilize technology such as Microsoft Excel to organize data. Possess familiarity with data warehouse systems. Ability to navigate software designed for the writing of IEPs.
7. Consultation regarding behavioral/instructional strategies, program development, staff development, best educational practices and current research findings.
8. Ensure due process rights and procedures across the Pikes Peak BOCES. Serve as a Director Designee in IEP and Eligibility team meetings once approved.
9. Recommend, implement or monitor appropriate interventions for students with social, emotional and behavioral needs.
10. Document services in PPBOCES data management system and maintain documentation for progress monitoring.
11. Serve as Team lead, supporting teachers and SSP's , maintaining caseload documentation for district teams. This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities, and may be subject to change at any time, with or without notice.
This position shall be evaluated in accordance with the Colorado State Model System for Evaluation of Special Service Providers.
Salary, Working Time, Vacation, Etc.
The salary shall be determined by education and experience in accordance with the BOCES Licensed Salary Schedule (this can be found on our website at:
Ed.S./ Ph.D School Psychologist Starting at $65,464.00 . (MA/MS starting at 60,053) Contracts are on an annual basis and are subject to renewal or nonrenewal at the discretion of the Board.

Working Conditions:
- Talking and hearing, walking, standing or bending is frequently required
- Reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling is also required
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds
- This is an itinerant position. Travel to assigned job site(s) requires driving up to 5 days a week and access to a reliable vehicle. Employee may be asked to drive to any member district at any time using personal or BOCES vehicle. Mileage reimbursement in accordance with board policy
- All required license(s) must be maintained in an active status without suspension or revocation throughout employment.
- Any employee may be required to stay at or return to work during meetings and/or emergencies to perform duties specific to this classification or to perform other duties as requested in an assigned position. This may require working a non-traditional work schedule or working outside normal assigned duties during the meeting and/or emergency.
- Ability to Commute up to 50 miles with reliable vehicle.
This is an at-will position.
