Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Spokane, Washington.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Respiratory Therapist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring WA license in hand and at least 2 years of experience.Details\n \n Short term acute care Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center\n Teaching hospital setting with 629 staffed beds\n Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)\n Patient ratio of 1:11\n Every other weekend required\n Block scheduling required\n Floating between units required, including possible floating between sister facilities\n No on-call required\n Duties include floor care, ER coverage, code response, and rapid response\n Uses Epic for charting\n Requirements\n \n Active RRT certification required\n Washington state license required (license required if applicable)\n Compact license must be in hand at time of submission\n BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred\n Minimum 2 years of experience required\n Teaching hospital experience preferred\n Trauma Level I experience preferred\n Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation\n Skilled in airway management including extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care\n Experience with medication delivery systems and administration of respiratory medications\n Ability to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)\n Experience in Emergency Department and Pediatric settings preferred\n Experience with trauma and rapid response situations preferred\n 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting\n Additional Information\n \n Provide respiratory care across multiple units including floor care, ER, and rapid response teams\n Participate in code response as needed\n Scrub color for RRT is any color\n No parking fees at this facility\n Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must not be within 50 miles of the facility\n Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)\n All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the submission process\n Local candidates accepted within a 50 mile radius at a lower bill rate\n First-time travelers may be considered for this assignment\n Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-756430.
