Senior Plumbing Engineer

We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing Engineer / Senior Plumbing Designer to join a growing MEP consulting team in the Houston market. This is a lead technical role, not a production-only position, focused on delivering complex plumbing systems across healthcare, commercial, multifamily, and institutional project This role is best suited for an engineer/designer who is confident owning full plumbing design scope, coordinating across disciplines, and serving as a key technical resource on active projects. What you wil l doLead plumbing system design from concept through construction documenta tionEngineer and size full building plumbing systems includ ing:Domestic water distribution (cold/hot, booster syst ems)Sanitary waste and vent sys temsStorm drainage sys temsNatural gas systems (where applica ble)Serve as a primary technical point of contact on assigned proj ectsCoordinate directly with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical t eamsLead internal QA/QC reviews prior to client submis sionSupport construction administration including RFIs, submittals, and field coordina tionParticipate in client and owner meetings as a design representa tiveMentor junior engineers and designers as part of project deli veryContribute to BIM coordination efforts in Revit and Navisworks environm What we’re lookin g for7–15+ years of plumbing design experience in consulting engine eringStrong background in healthcare and/or complex commercial projects pref erredProven ability to lead plumbing design scope independ entlyStrong understanding of plumbing codes (IPC / UPC / NFPA)Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD req uiredExperience coordinating multidisciplinary construction docu mentsStrong communication skills with clients, contractors, and internal teamsAbility to manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced enviro nment Ideal project back groundWe are especially interested in experience a cross:Healthcare facilities (hospitals, surgical centers, outpatient care)High-rise residential and mixed-use develo pmentsCorporate campuses and institutional bui ldingsComplex renovation / phased construction pr ojects Hybrid flexibility 2-3 days Competitive base salary aligned with senior-level consulting engineering roles in the HTX market, plus full benefits package.
