Summary This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia. Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Budget Analyst, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: - Developing procedures and methods to budget for long-range funding and to meet changing program needs. - Conducting analyses of program(s) to evaluate effectiveness and/or develop recommendations to problem areas. - Providing guidance to customers, senior managers and/or external organizations related to budgetary proposals and/or findings Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Planning and/or conducting analyses of budgetary proposals; Conducting analyses of program(s) to evaluate effectiveness and/or develop recommendations to problem areas; and Providing guidance to customers, senior managers and/or external organizations related to budgetary proposals and/or findings Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC.
