Transportation, Georgia Department of - GDOT 2 days ago Description - External Job Summary: Under minimal supervision, provides senior expert professional support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental or traffic. May supervise subordinates or serve as a lead worker providing training to lower-level staff. Job Specific Duties: Under limited supervision, develop and maintain transportation project schedules using Primavera P6 in alignment with GDOT’s approved structure, including templates, WBS, EPS, activity sequencing, and project management standards. Establish accurate baseline schedules, monitor progress, and maintain critical path visibility to support consistent communication between project managers, SMEs, district staff, and consultant partners. Review schedule quality and logic to ensure all activities reflect realistic durations, proper dependencies, and statewide delivery expectations. Support the Lead Scheduler and State Scheduling Administrator with initial schedule developments, schedule modifications, and timely revisions based on approved Project Change Request Forms (PCRFs). Ensure schedule updates meet OPC timelines and contribute to statewide performance metrics, including schedule readiness for SRC and high approval quality. Prepare and maintain baseline schedules, management date updates, and required documentation to support internal reviews and upper‑management reporting. Attend Let Status Meetings, ROW Status Meetings, District Status Meetings, Schedule Review Meetings, and other program related meetings as required. Accurately notate meeting outcomes, identify schedule impacts or necessary adjustments, and execute follow‑up actions promptly.
