Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of orthopedic patients, formulating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Engage in goal-setting with patients and continuously assess their progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize recovery.
• Document patient progress thoroughly in our electronic health record system to maintain communication with referring physicians and ensure continuity of care.
• Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and guide them through exercises and rehabilitation strategies to promote independence and self-management.
• Participate actively in team meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance treatment outcomes and share best practices.
• Meet minimum utilization goals while maintaining a focus on high-quality service and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients, which includes individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes requiring rehabilitation after sports injuries, and patients experiencing chronic musculoskeletal pain. You will also have the opportunity to work with various patient populations, including pediatrics and neurologic patients, allowing for a diverse and enriching professional experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with proficiency in word processing and EHR software.
• A genuine passion for building relationships with patients, driving towards their functional goals, and positively influencing their recovery journey.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Experience utilizing evidence-based practices and outcome measurement tools for patient treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
