Warehouse Manager – Bloomington, MNJohnstone Supply – The Heartland Group is currently hiring a Warehouse Manager for our Bloomington, MN store. We are continually growing and believe in providing opportunities for advancement for results-oriented individuals willing to successfully do the work.Supervisory Responsibilities:Assists with hiring and training of team membersOversees the daily workflow; oversee scheduling and assignmentsAssists in performance evaluations. Ensuring on time and effective evaluations.Duties/Responsibilities:Ensures the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.Leads team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks, conveyor equipment, and specific portions of tractor-trailer and over-the-road trucks.Inspects quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team.Verifies outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures.Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.Maintains detailed and accurate work records.Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.Resolves conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.Orders new equipment as requested by management.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent management and interpersonal skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to motivate team to accomplish objectives.Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers.Ability to remain organized.Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse.Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.Basic computer skills, including knowledge and skill in the use of inventory management systems and office software (e.g. Email programs, Internet browsers)Basic math skills sufficient to manage inventory, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Ability to use computer systems and manual procedures for organizing and identifying products and communicating with coworkers.Adequate physical strength and stamina to repeatedly lift, carry, move, and set down up to 75 pounds.Skill in operation of heavy equipment, including delivery vehicles, forklift, pallet jack, and order picker.Strict attention to detailEducation and Experience:High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
