Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient or clinic setting, supporting patient health and wellness through assessment, planning, and coordination of treatments. Supervises and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, effective care in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status through detailed data collection and clinical observation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and medical directives.
• Coordinate care delivery among healthcare team members, ensuring seamless patient flow and treatment consistency.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and post-visit care instructions.
• Participate in discharge planning and follow-up to promote continuity of care.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff in accordance with scope of practice and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a minimum of two years recent nursing experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, or clinic setting.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Preferably hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume outpatient environment.
