Compliance Officer (Deposits) Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year We are a well-established California bank, operating for over 100 years. We are looking for a Compliance Officer to oversee deposit and operational compliance. Monitor and manage compliance topics and issues for business units. Develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive compliance monitoring and testing program, including written reports and communication of results to senior management. Conduct marketing and disclosure reviews with business units. Provide ongoing governance and oversight of covered business areas, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. Assess, develop, and provide compliance training on relevant topics and identify training needs for business units. Participate in new or changes to products, services, and regulations. Manage policy and procedure development. Research regulatory and non-regulatory complaints to identify systemic trends and root causes. Support the evolution and enhancement of the compliance program for responsible business areas and provide additional support as instructed by the Chief Compliance Officer. Conduct reviews and challenges for the first line business units on risk and control self-assessment, policies, procedures, and other aspects of the compliance program. Analyze and compile data into meaningful reports for the Chief Compliance Officer while meeting critical deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of compliance experience in a regional banking organization. Industry accreditation preferred (e.g., CRCM). Strong working knowledge of banking and financial aspects of lending, operational and deposit compliance requirements. Extensive knowledge of state and federal banking laws and regulations. Ability to work independently, lead and manage a project team, and work effectively with peers and superiors. Strong written and oral communication skills.
