Key Account Specialist

The Key Account Specialist will be responsible for a multitude of global operational duties including quoting, tracking & tracing, vendor/agent relations, problem resolution, and high-level customer service. Special expertise and experience in international air operations, QMS compliance, ocean service liaison and report generation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for designated customers and responsible for the outcome of assigned projects including customer service, tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance and customer interaction
• Tracking and tracing shipments on a daily basis. Track overhead shipments daily and route accordingly. Maintain notes and correct status codes in AIT's systems for all shipments assigned. Work closely with customer service teammates to provide thorough turnover to ensure complete coverage for customers during nights and weekends
• Quoting and routing freight across multiple transportation modes and services: Domestic & International
• Answer phone calls and respond to all e-mails on a timely matter - mailbox time slot replies/action with 1 hour
• Manage daily on time and defect codes, carrier re-weighs and insure all masters rated
• Assisting local sales and offices with freight issues
• Scan and file all paperwork daily
• Other duties as business deemed necessary
• The wage range for this position is $27.40-$38.70 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Qualifications

• 3 -5 years experience preferred
• Associates' Degree or equivalent required
• Experience in international operations is mandatory
  • Freight forwarding experience is preferred
  • Experience with CargoWise computer system is preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• Strong problem solving skills with ability to develop new ideas and innovative solutions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High attention to details and accuracy
• Ability work and adapt in a high volume, fast paced work environment
