About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary and transformational Vice President of Data to spearhead a company-wide data transformation and establish data as a key operating advantage. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the enterprise data strategy, prioritizing transformation work, and ensuring that the company's data systems are the authoritative source of truth. This role demands a leader with a strong commercial understanding of SaaS business models, deep technical knowledge of modern data architecture, and a proven track record of building or transforming data functions within a growing technology company. The VP of Data will be expected to be hands-on, capable of writing code, and technically engaged, while also being politically mature and principled in their approach to data management. Candidates for the VP of Data position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' of experience in data-related disciplines, with at least 5 years' in a leadership role. The role requires a leader who is operationally grounded, agent-fluent, and product-minded, with a strong focus on AI and data as products. The ideal candidate will have a history of leading meaningful data transformation, establishing governed business metrics, and resolving cross-functional data disputes. They should be adept at building strong partnerships across the organization, influencing senior executives, and driving difficult cross-functional changes.
