About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Tax to lead its tax strategy and compliance efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all business and regulatory tax returns, as well as tax accounting tasks. This role requires overseeing the preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards. The VP of Tax will also be involved in tax planning, research on legislative developments, and guiding the organization through audits and international tax issues. Strong leadership and collaboration skills are essential for optimizing tax efficiencies and supporting the company's financial objectives. Candidates for the Vice President of Tax position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience, with a CPA designation strongly preferred. Extensive experience in P&C insurance is a mandatory requirement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years' of tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax environment, and a proven track record of leadership, independence, and effective team management. The role demands the ability to work under strict deadlines, exceptional communication skills, and the capacity to collaborate across multiple departments and locations.
