As a Physician Practice Assistant – RN, you'll work alongside cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and a dedicated clinical team to provide exceptional outpatient care throughout every stage of the patient's heart health journey.If you're an RN who enjoys patient education, critical thinking, and building meaningful relationships in a collaborative outpatient setting, we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoAs part of our Hagerstown Heart team, you will:Welcome and assess patients by obtaining health histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.Triage patient concerns, identify changes in condition, and communicate findings promptly to providers.Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.Perform clinical treatments and procedures, including IV placement (when applicable), phlebotomy, breathing treatments, and other provider-directed care.Monitor test results, worklists, and outstanding orders to help ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care.Provide patient education, follow-up phone calls, and care instructions.Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.Monitor and order clinical supplies while supporting efficient practice operations.Assist with training and supporting Certified Medical Assistants and other clinical staff.Complete daily quality control activities and monitor medications and supplies for expiration.What You'll BringAssociate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higherCurrent Registered Nurse license in Maryland or qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact multistate licenseCurrent BLS certificationYou'll Thrive Here If You...Enjoy developing long-term relationships with patients.Remain calm and organized in a busy outpatient environment.Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and teammates.Think critically and recognize changes in patient condition.Take pride in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.Value teamwork and are always willing to support your colleagues.Caring for Our Team We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees' well-being and professional growth.
