Job Type: Contract – 31 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Thursday
Hours: 40 hours/week
Candidates: Local and Traveler Candidates Accepted
Work Setting: Onsite

Pay Rate: $24/hour

Schedule

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant (MA) to provide both front-office and back-office clinical support in a healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, documentation, scheduling, and other administrative and clinical activities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills, EMR experience, and the ability to provide professional and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support both front-office and back-office clinical operations.
• Greet, check in, and room patients.
• Obtain, record, and document patient vital signs .
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
• Administer vaccines according to established protocols.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
• Schedule patient appointments and assist with related administrative duties.
• Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
• Maintain accurate patient information and clinical documentation in the EMR .
• Provide additional clinical support to healthcare providers and staff as needed.
• Maintain effective and collaborative relationships with center staff and healthcare team members.
• Support health education and patient outreach activities.
• Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail while providing patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , in addition to an externship.
• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with phlebotomy and venipuncture .
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and patient-service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
