This contract opportunity allows a compassionate Social Worker to engage with two schools, working full-time (35 hours per week) from August 2026 through June 2027. Placement will consider your preference for age group and location within the district, offering a personalized work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Current licensure to practice social work in Maryland
• Educator certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), or willingness and eligibility to secure this credential upon offer
• Previous experience in a school environment strongly preferred
• Ability to connect with diverse student populations and collaborate with school staff
• Flexible and resilient, with strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students in collaboration with faculty and families
• Address barriers to learning by developing individual support plans and facilitating access to resources
• Conduct assessments, crisis interventions, and ongoing monitoring of students’ social and emotional needs
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to support student achievement and school success
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and district reporting requirements
• Foster a positive, inclusive school climate where all students feel supported
