Quality Inspector

Under new local leadership, the company is modernizing operations, expanding capabilities, and moving into a modern facility to better support customer growth and complex manufacturing challenges. Role Description The Quality Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Buffalo, NY, responsible for ensuring that machined components meet established quality standards and customer specifications. This role includes performing dimensional and visual inspections using measurement tools, reviewing documentation, and verifying compliance with drawings, tolerances, and internal procedures. The Quality Inspector will record and maintain inspection data, identify nonconformances, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. Daily work involves following standardized inspection plans, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and helping maintain a safe, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Quality Control and Inspection, including use of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management practices, including documentation, compliance, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting technical drawings, tolerances, and specifications, and for identifying trends or recurring quality issues. Familiarity with CNC machining environments and manufacturing processes, particularly tight-tolerance and high-precision components. Ability to read and interpret engineering prints, work instructions, and quality standards; basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site. Relevant experience in manufacturing quality inspection; vocational training or a technical certificate in machining, quality, or related field is preferred. Understanding of regulated or high-performance industries (e.g., aerospace, defense, industrial OEMs) is beneficial; familiarity with ITAR or similar compliance frameworks is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr Willard Manufacturing
