Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing design teams and technical personnel. Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees while driving performance and professional growth. Experience balancing quality, productivity, deadlines, and team engagement in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of design standards, industry regulations, and quality assurance processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. Experience managing team workloads, resource allocation, and project priorities. Proficiency with design software, project management tools, and utility design workflows. Ability to identify technical challenges and guide teams toward effective design solutions. Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience working with utility construction, engineering, or infrastructure organizations. Knowledge of distribution, transmission, telecommunications, or fiber design projects. Experience with employee performance evaluations and career development planning. Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience supporting hiring initiatives and workforce planning. On a day-to-day basis, the Operations Supervisor will oversee workload planning, assign resources, and monitor team performance to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within quality expectations. They will provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing development opportunities for employees while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
