They often collaborate with engineering and quality teams to refine processes and improve product quality.Responsibilities:Operate and Set Up Machines: Operate and set up Swiss-style CNC lathes and machines to produce precision parts for various industries, including medical devices, aerospace, and automotive.Technical Drawings: Read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate machining processes.Tool Selection: Select appropriate tools, inserts, and machine parameters to optimize machining efficiency and part quality.Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on Swiss machines to ensure optimal performance.Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to refine machining processes and improve product quality.Quality Checks: Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and standards.Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment1.Required Skills and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.Technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.5+ years of experience as a Swiss Machinist in a precision fabrication environment.Proficient in operating and setting up Swiss-style CNC lathes and machines.Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and fixture design.Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with programming CNC machines using CAM software.Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills1.Come join our global, inclusive & diverse teamOur purpose is to improve the quality of life of everyone we touch through our innovative motion systems.
