Technical Sales Rep

The Boss:

The role reports into regional leadership with deep experience in rental operations, sales, and technical execution. Leadership is highly engaged, frequently in the field, and closely involved with sales performance, development, and execution. The Position:

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business and driving rental revenue across a defined Dallas-Fort Worth territory. This is a hunter-oriented role with no inherited book of business.

The TSR will spend the majority of time in the field calling on mechanical contractors, general contractors, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, commercial buildings, job sites, and other customers within their territory. The role requires comfort selling transactional rentals, particularly spot cooling (approximately 12 tons and under), while also supporting larger HVAC, chiller, and power opportunities in coordination with internal technical and operations teams.

Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned):

• Own and develop a geographically defined territory within the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area
• Prospect, qualify, and close new HVAC and power rental opportunities
• Drive transactional rental revenue with a focus on spot cooling and short-term HVAC needs
• Support larger HVAC, chiller, and power projects in partnership with technical and operations teams
• Call on mechanical contractors, general contractors, healthcare systems, school districts, commercial facilities, and active job sites
• Build long-term relationships that lead to repeat rental business
• Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity and customer interactions
• Spend the vast majority of working time in the field actively calling on customers and prospects

Qualifications:

• Proven success in outside, territory-based B2B sales
• Strong hunter mentality with the ability to build business from the ground up
• Comfort operating in a performance-driven, activity-based sales environment
• Ability to understand and communicate technical HVAC and rental solutions
• Willingness to work a demanding schedule in a fast-paced rental industry

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of three years of successful outside sales experience
• Experience selling HVAC-related solutions, industrial rentals, or technical products preferred
• Background calling on mechanical contractors, general contractors, or facilities preferred
• HVAC rental, spot cooling, chiller, or power rental experience is a strong plus
