Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Staff Accountant job for the corporate office located in Roseville, CA. This job is 100% in-office! The client is seeking a highly motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented accountant that has experience in real estate or property management. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, producing financials, and performing various accounting tasks for a portfolio of properties for both commercial and residential. Responsibilities: Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow for multiple properties. Prepare and submit monthly rent invoices and ensure timely rent collection. Review and analyze financial data to identify variances and trends. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Conduct monthly analysis of property expenses and provide recommendations for cost savings. Coordinate with property managers and other team members to resolve accounting-related issues. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. Assist in the preparation of annual audits. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field would be nice to have but professional accounting experience in real estate/property management is required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate or property accounting. Software experience with Yardi or AppFolio is preferred. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong with accrual accounting. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
