To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers success as if it is their own./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliPerform head-to-toe assessments, develop and update care plans, and document in electronic medical records./liliAssess and act on changes in patient condition./liliAdminister medications (including IV), blood products, and tube feedings./liliInsert and manage IV and central lines, including PICC lines./liliPerform wound care, tracheostomy care, ventilator care, and suctioning./liliMeasure and monitor vital signs, pain, and hemodynamics./liliCoordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers./liliProvide patient/family education on health, diagnoses, and medications./liliRespond to emergencies and assist in crisis situations./liliMaintain patient confidentiality and a safe care environment./liliAdhere to VA and Joint Commission standards, including medication administration, restraint usage, and hazardous waste disposal./liliUse Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA) with 100% accuracy./liliComplete required nursing assessments and documentation within set timeframes./liliReport incidents of abuse or safety concerns immediately./liliProvide clinical oversight to LPNs, Nursing Assistants, Health Technicians, and Intermediate Care Technicians./liliCommunicate with physicians and other healthcare team members regarding patient status./liliParticipate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities./liliClear CPRS clinical alerts daily./liliPerform Braden Scale and Fall Risk Assessments./liliReport and document patient safety incidents using the Joint Patient Safety Report (JPRS) system./liliComply with PPE and hand hygiene protocols./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliCurrent, unrestricted RN license from a U.S. state, territory, or D.C./liliGraduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)./liliCredentialed through VetPro./liliCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification./liliCurrent Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (for ICU, Stepdown, and Emergency Room)./liliNegative TB test within the past 12 months./liliPre-employment drug screening./liliAt least 1 year of recent (within the past 5 years) critical care nursing experience./liliProficiency in spoken and written English./liliBasic computer skills./liliAbility to perform all physical requirements of the job (no restrictions)./liliNo sponsorship available/li/ulpAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran./p/div
