Senior Java Engineer - Equities Pricing/Risk - Leading Hedge Fund (PW)

Buy-Side Risk And Pricing System Developer
Our team designs and builds a state of the art Buy-Side risk and pricing system for equity derivatives. The team works closely with Portfolio Managers, Middle Office and Risk Managers. You must be a very strong hands-on Java developer. Also required is a good understanding of pricing and risk functionalities of a trading system.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain real-time equities pricing and risk system
Qualifications
- Expert level core Java, 5+ years' experience
- Expert understanding of concurrent, multi-threaded development
- OO design, Design Patterns, Unit & Integration testing
- Middleware messaging platform experience is required
- Unix/Linux a must
- Agile/Scrum
- Documentation
- Experience with real-time pricing/risk
- Financial positions data and market data
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment
- UI experience is a nice to have
- Degree in Computer Science (CIS) or related field
Estimated base salary range $175,000 to $250,000, specific to New York and subject to change. Total compensation includes discretionary bonus and benefits.
