Senior Category Sourcing Manager II

About the Role Micron Technology is a global leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated Buyer to join our procurement team. As a Buyer, you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site. You will work with partners to build comprehensive views of supplier performance for continued sourcing success and participate and/or lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation. Responsibilities Lead Supplier Performance and Relationships. Own procurement process for designated areas and accounts, including internal stakeholder alignment to drive sourcing strategy. Negotiate with suppliers to meet business needs. Support budgeting and cash flow management, and the execution of Global Procurement strategies. Handle cost saving initiatives and metric. Implement cost savings and process improvement programs. Act as a consultant for procurement process and supplier issues. Support site audits. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in sourcing or related field in semiconductor industry. Proven strength in complex problem‑solving, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive resolution in challenging situations. Experience in external-facing roles, advocating for Micron's interests while maintaining confidentiality and managing supplier expectations. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in a semiconductor environment. 7 years of experience sourcing in a semiconductor industry. Experience working in a customer success or supply management role. Compensation US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is $90,000.00 - $205,000.00 a year.
