Software Development Engineer, S3 Control Plane

Salary: $77,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
• We require experience programming in at least one software language.
• Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Preferred: a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent field.

• We proactively work with multiple S3 Index teams in day-to-day operations.
• We develop solutions within defined technical strategies and exercise autonomy in our work.
• We understand team architecture and make service-level technical trade-off decisions.
• We drive operational excellence across the service.
• We own the control plane services, metadata, workflows, and tools that support capacity expansion, heat management, and data durability for S3 Index.
• We help ensure customers can access and write primary keys for their S3 objects in a highly available, highly performant, and scalable manner.
