SSTAR’s clinical team provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services in a safe and welcoming environment! The clinician provides individual, group, and family counseling to people affected by addiction and or/mental illness. Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol Abuse Policy and HIPAA Regulations. Maintain assigned caseload; Providing direct care to clients -including assessments of the new patients, individual counseling, discharge planning, treatment plans, daily progress notes, daily groups, group note completion and completion of bio-psychosocial assessments. Responsible for each assigned clients’ medical records. Provide direct care to the clients. This care will include, but not limited to, individual counseling, group facilitation, lectures, orientation for new patients, discharge & aftercare planning, and case management of clients assigned. Responsible for linking clients with aftercare services prior to discharge and aiding the client and with access to outpatient services when appropriate. Attend all unit meetings and case conferences as directed by the Executive Director. Responsible for continued education in the field of substance abuse and related courses. Communicate with referring agencies and other entities on behalf of the client. Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of clients as defined by the client’s rights. Other duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or Executive Director. Clinician Qualifications Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or a related discipline. LICSW, LMHC, LADC1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills An understanding of the relationship between substance abuse and mental health issues and/or self-help programs Diagnostic skills and case management ability Promote and enhance one’s knowledge about the symptoms of psychiatric illness and addiction Ability to facilitate a group/lecture Ability to set limits and enforce rules An understanding of boundaries and ethics ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $72,000 - 78,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
