Knowledge Strategy Lawyer – Litigation Innovation & AILocation: Washington, D.C. (Hybrid)Salary: $240,000 – $275,000Must have the following:J.D. with active bar license in good standing4 years practicing law within a large global law firmStrong litigation practice experience and legal workflow knowledgeKnowledge Management (KM) and legal operations exposureExperience with legal technology, document automation, eDiscovery, and generative AI toolsAbility to create and maintain legal precedents, training materials, and practice resourcesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience collaborating across attorneys, innovation, technology, and business teamsResponsibilities:Partner with practice leadership and attorneys to develop and execute knowledge management and innovation strategiesBuild, organize, maintain, and improve core practice resources including templates, model documents, practice notes, checklists, and training materialsCollaborate with attorneys and business teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology adoptionEvaluate, pilot, and support implementation of legal technology platforms, generative AI tools, document automation systems, and workflow solutionsAssist with development and refinement of AI prompts and workflows tailored to legal use casesConduct matter debriefs and gather attorney feedback to improve knowledge sharing and operational efficiencyMaintain repositories of precedents, pitch materials, and client-facing contentMonitor legal and market developments and support thought leadership initiatives, alerts, and current awareness communicationsDeliver training sessions related to KM systems, legal technology, AI tools, and best practicesMentor attorneys and promote adoption of knowledge management resources across the practiceServe as a liaison between attorneys, innovation teams, technology groups, and business services departmentsSupport business development initiatives and assist with maintaining reusable proposal and client materialsRequirements:J.D. degree with active bar membership in good standingMinimum of 4 years of experience practicing law within a large law firm environmentStrong understanding of litigation workflows, legal research, and practice operationsPassion for legal innovation, knowledge sharing, and improving attorney efficiencyExperience with legal technology platforms, eDiscovery tools, document automation, or generative AI solutionsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearlyAbility to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and strong professional judgmentAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience creating legal training materials, precedents, guides, or thought leadership content preferredAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
