Substitute School Nurse (RN)

Part-Time School Nurse (RN) - District Wide

Schedule: 100 days per school year

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a caring, organized, and student-centered Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Part-Time School Nurse District Wide. This position plays an important role in supporting the health, wellness, and safety of students and staff within the school environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assessing and responding to student health concerns and emergencies

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed

• Maintaining accurate student health records and documentation

• Monitoring immunization compliance and health requirements

• Collaborating with administrators, teachers, counselors, and families regarding student health needs

• Supporting health education and wellness initiatives within the school setting

• Ensuring compliance with New York State regulations and district policies

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required

• Current CPR/AED certification preferred

• Previous pediatric, school, or community health experience preferred

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

This is a part-time position scheduled for 100 workdays during the school year calendar.
