Quality Control Manager

Quality Control ManagerThis position shall have overall responsibility for the contractor's quality control management program to include maintaining and overseeing the quality control management program for entire contract.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Administer quality control management program as it relates to operations and maintenance (O&M) workResponsible for overall quality assurance programMonitor and inspect all delivery orders for complianceMaintain records of inspections and certificationsPrepare monthly reports depicting findings of quality inspectionsPeriodically review the quality control program to ensure complianceExamine processes for preventative and corrective maintenance; make suggestions based on findingsPerform inspections and re-inspections to ensure problems have been resolvedCollect data for the DMLSS system including work orders and equipment historyResearch safety and quality topics onlineMay prepare incident and accident reportsMay be tasked with preparing training materials and conducting employee safety meetingsMay manage the disposal of hazardous wasteMay research and issue infection control and interim Life Safety permitsMay train personnel on material control and equipment and tool managementOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:Associate's Degree in Safety Management, Business Management or a related field, Bachelor's Degree preferredMinimum of five (5) years of experience in preparing and enforcing quality management programs (QMS) on contracts of similar size, scope and complexityKnowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE proceduresAbility to conduct accident investigations and safety inspectionsStrong written and oral communication skillsWork Environment:Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility.Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.This job description is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change.We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.This description is not intended to be an "all inclusive" list of the accountabilities of the job.
