Emergency Room Registered Nurse RN

Sign on bonus : Up to $10,000. Job Summary The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the department, consistent with state and specialty standards of practice. Responsibilities Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management. Performs procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely manner. Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates patient needs. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medications and side effects, and lifestyle changes. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred). Current RN license in Virginia or a compact multistate license. Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
