Visual Merchandising Intern

L'Occitane is seeking a current student pursuing a major in Visual Merchandising or Fashion Merchandising to join us as an intern. The intern will gain general Visual Merchandising knowledge through hands-on experience. The ideal candidate must be able to commit up to 28 hours/week.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage communications and requests from the field, fulfilling all requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with the monthly campaign development, mocking tables/creating presentations.
• Maintain and organize the locally sourced props and signage inventory, sourcing new props and placing orders as needed.
• Assist in the preparation for new and renovated boutiques, including prop and signage orders and preparation of floor layout packets.
• Maintain office showroom, ordering product as needed.
• All other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree (rising junior or senior) or Master's degree

Experience:

• 0-1 year experience in retail setting preferred.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a must.
• Proficiency with Photoshop and creative design tools.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills needed.
• Planning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
• Ability to manage deadlines.
• Interest in Beauty and Fashion.

Physical & Travel Requirements:

• Must be able to work in normal office conditions
• Must be able to work up to 28 hours per week
