Maintenance Technician, Facility Services - NC, SC, and TN | Publix Super Markets, Inc.Publix is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team to help keep our retail stores in top condition. In this role, you'll assist the Divisional Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Team Leader, and Maintenance Coordinators by managing day-to-day service requests and supporting special maintenance projects. You'll play a vital part in maintaining store interiors and exteriors, ensuring operational efficiency, and contributing to the successful implementation of corporate initiatives. Responsibilities include:Evaluating and performing general maintenance repairs on the interior and exterior of the retail facilitiesProviding support to Maintenance Coordinators and Project CoordinatorPerforming housekeeping duties such as maintaining vehicle inventory, keeping vehicles clean, and reconciling phone bills, credit statements, and other paperworkRequired qualifications:High School diploma or its equivalentOne year basic knowledge of general maintenance (i.e., roofing, carpentry, plumbing, cabinetry, electrical, building construction)Valid Driver's LicenseBasic knowledge and understanding of building envelopes and how best to make repairsBasic knowledge of building, fire and ADA codesAbility to analyze information and dataInterpersonal skills and the ability to manage a group of peopleComputer skills (MS Office, Excel, Word)Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Willingness to work flexible hours and extended travel with overnight staysPreferred qualifications:Significant coursework in Maintenance or Construction Disciplines (i.e. electrical, mechanical, plumbing) from a vocational/trade schoolTwo years working in a general maintenance/construction field (i.e., roofing, carpentry, plumbing, cabinetry, electrical, building construction)Hours of work: 40 hours weekly; schedule variesFrequency of pay: WeeklyMinimum base pay: $22.30Maximum base pay: $30.70Potential annual base pay: $46,384 - $63,856Year end bonus: To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
