Senior Director, Participant Recruitment and Retention

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Director to lead global participant recruitment and retention strategies across its clinical trial portfolio. The role focuses on developing innovative, patient-centered approaches to accelerate enrollment, improve retention, and enhance trial diversity while supporting the company's mission in metabolic and liver disease therapeutics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise participant recruitment and retention strategy across all clinical programs
• Lead creation of protocol-specific recruitment strategies for Phase I-IV studies in collaboration with study teams
• Design participant-centric initiatives to improve enrollment, engagement, and long-term retention across trials
• Partner with vendors, advocacy organizations, and healthcare systems to establish strategic partnerships and optimize recruitment
• Monitor enrollment metrics, create performance dashboards, and provide executive leadership with forecasts and risk assessments

Requirements

• Deep expertise in clinical trial recruitment and decentralized methodologies
• Demonstrated experience with digital recruitment technologies and health equity initiatives
• Strategic leadership experience managing cross-functional clinical development teams
• Vendor management and partnership development expertise
